In 2007, skaters organized and began attending every bond meeting advocating for public skateparks to be funded in the 2007 Bond Election. After many meetings and presentations the skaters were blessed to receive almost a million dollars in funding for three new skateparks in San Antonio. The city selected Grindline as the design/build contractor. Grindline is well known for their quality work including parks like San Marcos, Mabel Davis and Round Rock. The parks at Nani Falcone and Rosedale Park have been completed. Lackland Terrace will open February 2012.
